Mechanism of Action:

  • Clidinium is a synthetic anticholinergic agent which has been shown to inhibit gastric acid secretion and reduce GI spasms.

Uses:

  • It is used in combination with other medications to treat peptic ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome.

Side Effects:

  • Side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, drowsiness, and urinary retention.
