Mode of Action

  • Stabilizes mast cells, preventing the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators.

  • It does not directly block H₁ receptors but inhibits the cellular response to histamine.

Uses

  • Asthma: Prevents and controls asthma symptoms by inhibiting mast cell degranulation.

  • Allergic Rhinitis: Reduces nasal congestion and other allergic symptoms.

  • Conjunctivitis: Alleviates eye irritation and redness caused by allergies.
