Mechanism of Action:

  • Cyclopentolate is a muscarinic antagonist that blocks the action of acetylcholine at parasympathetic sites in the eye.

Uses:

  • it is used as a mydriatic and cycloplegic for eye examination.

Side Effects:

  • Side effects include transient stinging, blurred vision, photophobia, and elevated intraocular pressure.
