  • These are the DRUG USED IN CONGESTUVE HEART FAILURE.

  • Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a long-term condition where the heart's blood-pump performance is poor.

Symptoms –

  • Swelling

  • Rapid heartbeat

  • Chest pain

  • Shortness in breathing

Causes –

  • Coronary artery disease

  • Excess alcohol use

  • Previous myocardial infarction

  • High blood pressure

  • Infection

  • Atrial fibrillation (abnormal heart rhythm)

Prevention –

  • Maintaining a healthy weight

  • Avoid alcohol

  • Reduce sugar intake

  • Avoiding tobacco

Type of Congestive heart failure

A. Left-side failure –

  • It is a most common type

  • In this, left ventricle does not pump blood properly causes congestion in the lungs' blood vessels

  • It causes breathing difficulties (Cardiac asthma)

B. Right-side Failure –

  • In this, Right ventricle does not pump blood properly into lungs,

  • This cause Congestion of the systemic capillaries due to blood retention.

C. Biventricular Failure –

  • A combination of left- and right-sided heart failure is known as biventricular heart failure.
