Roles and Responsibilities:
Inspections:
Conduct routine and surprise inspections of manufacturing units, warehouses, retail outlets, and laboratories.
Verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), labeling standards, and storage conditions.
Sampling and Testing:
Collect samples of drugs and cosmetics for laboratory testing to assess quality and safety.
Investigations:
Investigate complaints, reports of adverse effects, or suspected violations of the Act.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and actions taken.
Prepare inspection reports and submit them to higher authorities for further action.
Enforcement Actions:
