Mechanism of Action:

  • Isopropamide is a long-acting anticholinergic drug which works by reducing the effect of acetylcholine, a chemical that nerves use to communicate with other nerves and muscle.

Uses:

  • It is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders such as peptic ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome.

  • Side Effects:

  • Side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and urinary retention.
