Mechanism of Action:

  • Ketorolac is a non-selective COX inhibitor, reducing prostaglandin production and thereby providing analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Uses:

  • It is used for short-term management of moderate to severe pain, typically in a postoperative setting.

Side Effects:

  • Significant gastrointestinal irritation, increased risk of bleeding, and renal impairment are notable side effects.
