Mechanism of Action:
Moxifloxacin is also a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic.
Like gatifloxacin, it inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are responsible for DNA replication, transcription, and repair.
This inhibition leads to bacterial cell death.
