Mechanism of action:

  • Oxiconazole, an imidazole antifungal, works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, which leads to membrane disruption and fungal cell death.

Uses:

  • Oxiconazole is used to treat various superficial fungal infections, such as athlete's foot, ringworm, jock itch, and tinea versicolor.

Side effects:

  • Side effects are typically mild and may include local irritation, itching, or redness at the site of application.
