Mechanism of Action

  • Inhibits dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), disrupting folic acid metabolism.

Uses

  • Second-line treatment for MDR-TB.

Side Effects

  • GI disturbances, hepatotoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions.
