Mechanism of Action:

Piperacetazine is a phenothiazine antipsychotic, blocking dopaminergic receptors in the CNS.

Uses:

  • It's used for the management of schizophrenia.

Side Effects:

  • Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and dizziness. More serious side effects include movement disorders (extrapyramidal symptoms).
