Mechanism of Action:

  • Sulpiride is a selective antagonist at dopamine D2 and D3 receptors.

Uses:

  • It's used for the treatment of schizophrenia and major depressive disorders.

Side Effects:

  • Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, and weight gain. More serious side effects include movement disorders (extrapyramidal symptoms).
