Mode of Action

  • Microtubule Inhibition: Binds to tubulin, preventing microtubule assembly and disassembly.

  • Mitotic Arrest: Halts cell division at metaphase by disrupting spindle formation.

  • Apoptosis Induction: Leads to programmed cell death in rapidly dividing cells.

Uses

  1. Hodgkin's Lymphoma: Often part of ABVD regimen.

  2. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma: In various treatment protocols.

  3. Breast Cancer: Especially metastatic cases.

  4. Testicular Cancer: In combination with other chemotherapeutic agents.
