Mechanism of Action:

  • As a non-selective COX inhibitor, zomepirac reduces prostaglandin synthesis, providing pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects.

Uses:

  • It was used for pain management but was withdrawn from the market due to severe allergic reactions.

Side Effects:

  • It caused gastrointestinal irritation, renal effects, and severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.
