Barasat GMC Senior Resident 2026: Walk-In on 19 November

Barasat Government Medical College & Hospital has announced non-bonded contractual Senior Resident recruitment through Memo BGMC/26/2384, dated 3 November 2026.

Eligibility and departments

• Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline from a recognised Indian university. MBBS alone does not meet the stated Senior Resident qualification.
• Departments: General Medicine, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Psychiatry and Pharmacology.
• Age: not exceeding 45 years on the date of appointment.
• Tenure: initially one year, extendable subject to satisfactory service.
• Pay: as prescribed by the West Bengal government memo cited in the notice. The PDF does not quote a monthly amount or department-wise vacancy count.
• Selection: academic qualifications and interview performance.
