After D.Pharm, apply for pharmacist registration through the relevant State Pharmacy Council. The Pharmacy Council of India FAQs explain who handles registration; the state council gives the application route and document checklist.
What to prepare
- Confirm that your D.Pharm qualification and institution meet the applicable approval requirements. Keep your diploma or provisional certificate and mark sheets handy.
- Keep your practical training certificate. The D.Pharm Education Regulations PDF specifies 500 hours of practical training over at least three months.
- Check your state’s list of identity, address and photograph requirements, fees and any appointment for document verification. Use the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council downloads page if applying in Maharashtra.
Check the exit exam rule for your batch
Read the PCI exit examination regulations PDF and any applicable batch-specific circular. Ask your State Pharmacy Council which rule it is applying before you submit. Still studying? Start with FirstHope D.Pharm Year 1 notes or Year 2 notes.
