Pathophysiology Pharm D notes help you connect a cause with the changes it produces in the body. Begin with the Pathophysiology notes page and work through one topic at a time.

Useful starting PDFs

Use these files to organise foundation terms before revising a longer condition-specific topic. Keep the explanations and examples from your lectures beside the notes.

Use a cause-to-effect outline

For each topic, write:

  • Cause or trigger: what starts the process being studied?
  • Mechanism: which changes connect the cause with the outcome?
  • Effects: what consequences are described in the topic?
  • Key terms: which definitions must be explained accurately?

Turn the outline into a short flowchart, then explain every arrow in a sentence. If you cannot explain a link, return to that part of the notes before learning more detail.

Keep a comparison list for similar processes so their differences remain clear. After reading, write one answer without looking at the PDF and check whether it explains the sequence rather than merely listing terms.

Revisit your correction list before opening the next available topic file on the subject page.
