Pharmacology 1 Pharm D notes are easier to study when a drug class is connected with its mechanism, examples and effects. Open the Pharmacology I notes page and begin with the foundation topics.

Open a topic PDF

Use the General Pharmacology file to organise the terms you will meet throughout the subject. Keep the full subject page bookmarked for the other available chapters.

Build one comparison table

For each class, record:

  • Mechanism of action: explain the main idea in a short sentence.
  • Examples: list the representative drugs covered in your class material.
  • Uses: connect the class with the contexts discussed in your notes.
  • Adverse effects: keep the important distinctions clear when comparing groups.

Draw a small flowchart when a mechanism has several stages. Then close the PDF and explain the sequence aloud before checking your terms.

Avoid learning similar classes as one undifferentiated list. Add a sentence about what distinguishes each group and practise a written comparison question.

Finish the session by checking one answer from memory. A corrected table and a clear explanation give you a practical way to revisit the topic later.
