Checked on 23 October 2026: CBSE's Class 10 and 12 private-candidate circulars give the following schedule for the 2027 examinations.

Important dates

Normal-fee applications: 8–23 October 2026. Today is the final normal-fee day.
Late-fee applications: 24–30 October 2026.
Additional late fee: ₹2,000 per candidate, on top of the applicable examination fee.

Who should check this?

Private candidates applying under the specified eligible categories, including applicable compartment, failure, improvement or additional-subject routes. Eligibility depends on your previous examination year and result category; check Annexure 1 for your class before applying.

Open CBSE's official private-candidate page and choose the correct Class 10 or Class 12 application.
Read the Class 10 circular PDF or Class 12 circular PDF. The fee schedules are in Annexure 4.
Complete the online form and payment, verify subjects/centre details, and save the confirmation. No hard copy needs to be sent to CBSE.

These dates apply to private forms. Regular-school LOC follows its separate schedule.
