Class 10 Science notes are most useful when you study one chapter at a time and practise its questions. Start with the FirstHope Science notes page for the available chapter PDFs, including handwritten notes and NCERT solutions.
Electricity Class 10 notes: key points
For Electricity, revise current, potential difference and resistance before attempting calculations. Keep these relationships on a small formula sheet:
- Ohm's law: V = IR, for a conductor under constant physical conditions.
- Series resistance: add the individual resistances.
- Parallel resistance: add their reciprocals to find the reciprocal of the equivalent resistance.
- Electric power: P = VI. Write the units beside each quantity.

Make every practice question count
Draw the circuit, list the given values and identify what the question asks. Choose the relationship before substituting numbers, then check your answer's unit. In a written explanation, state the principle as well as the final result.
After checking a solution, solve the question again without reading it. Keep a correction list for formula choices and circuit mistakes. Return to the Science page when you are ready to revise another chapter.
